In ideal circumstances all demographic details such as name, date of birth, gender etc. Should be the same across documents. If details do not match, a OTP will be sent to the user who has registered the same with Aadhaar. The OTP can thus be used for the verification purpose in case of name mismatch. However, it is must for taxpayers to make sure that the date of birth and gender details are the same. To resolve the issue, the user will have to change the name either in the Aadhaar database or the PAN database. The updation process can also be completed by visiting the nearest enrolment center.
