Educational Qualification and Experience
In Order To Appear For The Exam Candidates have Degree in Mining Engineering.
There is no experience required for this post
Age Limit
The age limit for this recruitment is mentioned below
Minimum Age - 21 Years
Maximum Age - 37 Years (Male)
Maximum Age - 40 Years (Female)
Candidates can start applying from 4th May 2020 till 18th May 2020
The written examination dates are yet to be announced by the board

The selection for this recruitment will be done in 2 phases. The phases are mentioned below
- Written Examination
- Interview
Written Examination
The first stage Of BPSC MDO Exam is the written examination
The exam will only consist of general awareness & technical related sections
The candidates need to clear the cut off to appear for the interview
Interview
The second and the final stage is the Interview
A final merit list will be prepared based on the performance in both stages.
BPSC MDO Written exam consists of 3 sections - GK, Mining or Geology & Mineral Policy and Related Acts Rules Exchange
Each section carries 100 marks and each section have a time duration of 1 hrs & 30 minutes
1/4th of the total marks will be deducted in the examination

Mining Engineering:-
Drilling
and Blasting , Mine Surveying-I, Introduction to Mining, Mineralogy,
Petrology and Stratigraphy, Mine Surveying-II, Geology for Mining
Engineers, Surface Mining, Surface Mine Planning & Design, Mine
Environmental Engineering, Mine Legislation, Mine Safety, Environmental
Aspects of Mining, Open Pit Slope Analysis and Design, Dimensional Stone
Mining, Mine Economics, Mine Legislation and Safety-II, Fuel
Technology, Mineral Processing, Mineral Economics.
Mineral Policy and Related Acts Rules Exchange:-
- Mines and Minerals ( Development & Regulation ) Act, 1957.
- Bihar Minerals ( Prevention of Illegal Mining, Transportation and Storage ) Rules, 2003 with up to date amendments.
- Mineral Conservation and Development Rules, 2017.
- MINES ACT 1952
- Bihar and Orissa Public Demand Recovery Act, 1914.
General Knowledge:-
The general knowledge section consists of topics related to current affairs, static GK & general awareness related to Bihar.
