SYLLABUS FOR EXAMINATION FOR GAS TESTING CERTIFICATE OF COMPETENCY
(Under Coal Mines Regulations, 2017)
1.0Construction, assembly and working principle of flame safety lamp and other approved apparatus / system such as methanometers, Multi Gas Detectors, Tele-monitoring systems etc.
2.0Effect of inflammable gas in different percentages and the difference between combustion and explosion.
3.0 Methods of testing for inflammable gas underground with a flame safety lamp and other approved apparatus.
4.0Provisions of the Coal Mines Regulations 2017 made under the Mines Act, 1952, relating to safety lamps and to the presence of inflammable gas in a mine.
5.0Actual testing for inflammable gas with flame safety lamp and other approved apparatus.
