    NAME- ANKUR KUMAR
    BRANCH- B.TECH MINING
    COLLEGE-BIT SINDRI
    ALL INDIA RANK-46 (FINAL RESULT)
    COAL INDIA 2012 OFF CAMPUS
    LOCATION- HOTEL FLOATEL KOLKATA
    RESULT - SELECTED

    Here we go:
Well ! I was a off campus placement guy,our interview was in a hotel of kolkata, I was a bit nervous at the time of interview as I did not prepare well.
I was waiting for my turn ,I still remember my turn came in second half,I was full of anxiety and do not know what will happen. As I entered the room a panel of seven people was sitting there,I do not recognize any of them but I was sure they must be above General manager rank of different disciplines.I politely wish them good afternoon. They told me to sit down ,I sat down. They asked me to introduce myself,I started in a
formal way and started stuttering, one man from the panel told me to relax and have a glass of water,I took a glass of water and regathered my self from that mistake, then I started after a pause. Afterwards they started asking me questions from mine ventilation like what is homotropal ,antitropal ventilation etc. Then some questions were from mining machinary like what is the function of belt conveyor, chain conveyor, asking
me about different machines like SDL,LHD ,Continuous Miner. Some question were fom method of working like difference between opencast working and underground working etc.I was answering them ,if I did not know the answer then I simply said sorry sir, without guessing the answers. They were correcting me whenever I was wrong.
Afterwards, they started questioning why do you want to join coal india, you have to be posted in remote loction are you ready, you are not going to the leave the company in future? I was answering them according to the questions ,finally after about 25 minutes they told me to leave.I greeted then came out of the room and felt a sigh of relief.I came to know that there are six GM from different discipline and the person sitting in
the centre who asked me to take a glass of water was Director technical (operation) BCCL ,Mr. Ashok sirkar. This was my experience of the interview, waiting for my results afterwards. After a few days , My mother receive a call fom an unknown number as I was in the market, but that was the same number I provided in contact information for coal india,my mother told me that he said not to worry, your son is going to qualify,my mother inquired about him,he said he was one of the penalist at the interview and posted in
BCCL. My mother told me about this instance, meanwhile I was there in dhanbad after few days and when I was in koyla bhawan I saw one of my penalist with DT –operation.I was quite sure he was the man who called me,he was GM (underground).

    My Advice To Candidates:
Finally, I want to advice you guys to be confident about the interview and do not take tension as the penalist who will be interviewing you also know that you must be full of anxiety. So ,relax and give your interview serenely.
